A lot of villians in kids' films seem to always die at the end of the film or something bad happens that defeats them.  While gravity remains the ultimate weakness of a villian (Seriously, there's got to be close to or over 50 deaths related to falling), sometimes a villian dies in a rather unpleasant manner.  I normally have no problem with a villian, who deserves, getting what he has coming to him, but in a kids movie it gets a little off putting.

Disney seems to be a fan of killing their villians in either fall deaths or in the most burtal way possible.  Ursla was stabbed straight through by a ship, Scar was eaten alive by the hyneas, and we all know what happened to Clayton in Tarzan (Combonation of fall and burtal neck snap all in one place!).  However, the most distrubing death in any kids movie is in The Princess and the Frog with Dr. Facilier being dragged to hell!  While not violent as some others, isn't any more distrubing and freaky to be dragged to hell screaming in horror with the flames behind you and demonic forces chanting all around!?

So, what villian death in a kids movie has been seriously off putting or freaky to you?

I'd actually nominate the first two Harry Potter films.  The first one where Voldermort reveals himself as a parasite on the Professor and when Harry takes out the Basilisk in part two.

We have been watching this movie, I think that this is a little intense.  But my wife let's my children watch it.  I am kind of tired of it.

Peter Pan (the original animation) movie from Disney is a little gruesome.  Capt Hook does not die but WOW.

Later,

Although it turns out Shredder did NOT die at the end of TMNT, it sure looked like he did when his blood was found in the garbage compactor.

Lots of rabbits get gorily chewed by a dog in Watership Down but the main villain gets killed offscreen.

The Wicked Witch of the West screaming and clawing at the air as she melts into a smelly puddle of witchie-poo.
