He's gone into space, he's dressed up as a clown, he's had a gritty reboot, faced off with a redneck Sherrif and suffered through blaxplotation co-stars, he's been played by Woody Allen, so after 20 plus mvoies, which would you say stands as being the single worst movie in the James Bond Franchise?

Thats a tough one...plot wise I'd say Moonraker is the dumbest.  They were more than cashing in on the Star Wars craze of the time and its just goofy.  Though I do have to admit I will watch it when its on.

I was very disappointed with Pierce Brosnan as James Bond, he seem to be on target in Remington Steele and a few Super Bowl Commericals... But he somehow missed the target as James Bond... although his films are far from the worst...

I like to believe The Living Daylights is the worst James Bond movie because it's loaded with PC and at times Timothy Dalton isnt doing anything, although it's been many, many years I've seen it so my opinion may change... I have this mix feeling because Licence to Kill (Timothy's second James Bond movie) is one of the better James Bond films and I think my opinion against him was based upon my disapointment that Pierce Brosnan wasnt playing James Bond (wow... that sounds very gay...)

Although I do recall not liking The Man with the Golden Gun many, many years ago but I did recently seen it and found it much better and I've actually enjoyed the movie.

But since you'd mention Woody Allen... I'll have to say:

The worst James Bond movie is... 'Casino Royale'

I've seen it a few years ago and thought it was a total mess and it's only worth remembering because the characters are name James Bond and it has Woody Allen in it.

Agreed.

Its James Bond... In space !!! Buggedout
Die Another Day was pretty stupid, but at least he was on Earth !!!!

I just want to Add, although a little off topic, that Denise Richards was AWFUL in The World is Not Enough.

Quantum of Solace.  The series has has it's ups and downs over the years, but that was in a whole different league.

A View To A Kill has always held this title for me, while OHMSS remains my favourite Bond film.

But AVTK had Walken and a kickass theme song! I loathe OHMSS that film and have never sat through the whole thing in one sitting. I've seen all the Bond films except non-cannon Casino Royale movies.

Actually... I'm not buying Daniel Craig as James Bond but I think it's the whole fast~fast~fast editing that's spoiling the fun~fun~fun for me...

Speaking of Casino Royale... I recall watching the newer one (i'm not sure if I would call it a remake) and 'I was thinking boy this gambling concept is so outdated'... the concept seemed outdated to me because the story used too many modern refernences.

I didn't mind the new Casino Royale too much, but I s see what you mean. However, I will put Quantum of Solace right up with with Moonraker and The Living Daylights as amongst the worst.

No, I'm not insane. I'm perfectly normal and well-adjusted. My membership here should prove that.  Wink

Incidentally, OHMSS is one of my favorites. We're talking Bond here. People are going to like or dislike the different movies for their own reasons, and sometimes it changes over time. I haven't seen The Living Daylights in a long time. If I watch it now, my opinion may be slightly different. I used to love The Spy Who Loved Me, but when I saw it recently I didn't like it as much.

DAF... DAD... OHMSS... OPP (You know me)

Gee what's with the abbreviations...

First... I love Diamonds are Forever...

how could anybody not like these "gay" assassins...

Second... I need to look up DAD... :(

Oh... Die Another Day... yea, I could see your point... like I'd said... Pierce Brosnan has been a disappointment... although I dont think it was that bad.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service works for me because James Bond was able to strike back in For Your Eyes Only...
