Moore is my favorite Bond. Though he stuck around a bit too long.

Agree here... I believe For Your Eyes Only was going to be Moore's last Bond film, although it was assumed that Moonraker was his last and they were looking for a new James Bond for 'For Your Eyes Only'

I think this is why I find AVTAK a bit hard to watch at times.  Moore seems way to old to be fighting bad guys and romancing young women.

Octop**sy, Jack? Come on, we're all adults here. You won't be banned for naming a James Bond movie.

Besides, aren't most the woman named after innuendos?
Just for the record, some words self edit on the forum.  For example...Octop***y...try it all you want Octop***y...Octop***y...or perhaps p***y Gallore...

I think I was partly to blame for that.  Lookingup

Though I'll still put it off on the church lady running this establishment.  TongueOut

lol... I think the movie has gotten better (funny) with age since James Bond is like a silly/dirty old man that still kicking ass and taking names, even though there are some odd close ups with him on a moving background.

"A view to a kill"... I have mixed feelings about that one. It's very entertaining and has some very spectacular action scenes, but Moore is awful, I couldn't buy him for a second. And his sex scene with Grace Jones is the stuff nightmares are made of.

The Bond films I really hate are, in chronological order:

"Diamonds are forever": It's just a boring, lifeless affair. Connery is in it just for the check and it shows. Then, it must be the most tasteless and visually un-appealing Bond film from that era. Vegas, really? A couple of gay assassins? Acrobatic hench-women in bikinis named Bambi and Pluto? It also has the most annoying love interest for bond, Jill St. John, and scenes as silly as Bond running away from the bad guys in a Moon buggy. By the time we get to the climax, which is also incredibly anti-climatic, I just wanted out.

"Moonraker": So what if "Star wars" had been a great hit? Sometimes the producers of the Bond series get too greedy and they forget they own a series about a spy who faces mega-villains, instead of a "Whatever-Movie" series. This film is just embarrasing to watch. And don't get me started with what they did to Jaws.

"License to kill": I know many people list this one as his favourite Dalton-Bond movie, but I can't see why. So alright, Dalton got away with it and he was allowed to play Bond as some smug bastard, but that's it. This is nothing but a generic 80s action film with the Bond name stamped on it. I still like the final action scenes, though. Pretty brutal for a Bond film.

"Goldeneye": Why so serious? Really. This film combines the worst of the Dalton and the Moore era. A seriousness that doesn't belong here combined with campy humour here and there. Add a couple of hot women, shake, stir and serve.

"Day another day": Promising prologue, but then it goes to Hell and never comes back.

"Quantum of solace": There's not a single element in this film that works. The aesthetics are the kind you get in comercials and the action scenes remind me how eager the Bond producers are to throw away everything just for a quick buck. So what if the Bourne films earned a truckload of money? I want to watch Bourne, I'll watch Bourne. Did we need a reboot as great as "Casino Royale" to end up with s**t like this? Don't you guys ever learn?

I think it actually traces back to the infamous MetropolisForever.  The "church lady" had to edit one of his posts and mentioned that he had to add a new word to the profanity filter because of that post.  After that all my posts about FASTER p***yCAT! KILL! KILL! suddenly looked funny.

Not that I doubt that you're capable of getting words added to the profanity filter.  You're probably responsible for half of them.   Wink

I loved the new Casino Royale. I was really against Craig as bond until I saw it though. The first time I watched Quantum of Solace I turned it off after 30 mins because the opening chase scene was terrible. I watched it again and actually liked it more. The fast edit thing is still bad though.

Diamonds are forever is awesome because the assassasin on the right is Crispin Glovers father.

Tomorrow Never dies is the worst for me.

"Tomorrow never dies" has a laugable villain and feels fairly routinary. Still, I prefer it over "Goldeneye", at least it does look and feel like a real James Bond film. "Goldeneye", to me, didn't.

And there's Michelle Yeoh, let's not forget that.

"Diamonds Are Forever"
The acrobatic henchwomen, close, but their names were Bambi and Thumper, not Bambi and Pluto. And, as they apparently go uncredited in the film credits, they were played by Loa Larson and Trina Parks, respectively.
