Hey all,

I'm trying to compile a list of movies in which people melt or liquify.  So far I have STREET TRASH, THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN, BODY MELT...I'm not sure if SLIME CITY counts.  Any others you can think of?

How about Raiders of the Lost Ark? That Nazi melts real good.

How about THE DEVIL'S RAIN (1975) with Ernest Borgnine, Tom Skerrit, and William  Shatner.  John Travolta has a small part in it too.  Dumb movie.

I didn't like the melting scene in The Fly 2, the poor guy was just doing his job and he gets a face full of acid. What about his family? :(

I'm sure theres at least 2 melting scenes in The Beyond.  I think there's a nightmare scene in Total Recall where Arnold goes outside and melts.

Maybe this is too obvious, but there's also The Wizard of Oz.

X-men has a character break down into water.  Does that count?

The 40s Lugosi vampire flick RETURN OF THE VAMPIRE actually has a pretty good scene of Lugosi melting in the sunlight. I believe a wax dummy of Bela's head was involved.

Fright Night has a melt scene in it that I love! (not very slimy after a certain stage though) TeddyR

I believe that in Howling IV, the werewolf transformations involve melting and reforming into wolves (though I only saw a clip, and that was some time back)

If I remember correctly, someone melts in The Curse.

The embalming machine in Phantasm II that was filled with HCL made the Tall Man's skin all melty.  Then his eyes blew up.  Thumbup

Maybe not technically what you're looking for but things definitely heat up in The Day the Earth Caught Fire, Crack in the World and Island of the Burning Doomed not to mention the Twilight Zone episode "The Midnight Sun". The temperature also seemed to be turned up in Soylent Green and It Came From Outer Space.

Melting? Blacula comes to mind as does The Man Who Cheated Death.
