"Amish Paradise" by Weird Al.  Technically his first 'hit' was in '79, but he had a resurgence in the '90s and this was a relatively big hit for him.  Dude had 4 albums released in the '90s.  And a TV show.  Was a big part of my youth.

After Dark screensavers!  Loved some of these!

Others I remember are:
Bugs: Bugs crawl across the screen
Aquatic Realm: Fish swim by on a black background
Daredevil Dan: Stunt cyclist does dangerous stunts
Mowin' Man: Grass grows over the screen and a guy mows it
And my favorite was Nonsense, where you pick various words and the computer makes often hilarious sentences out of them.

I remember that song well.  I used to have a buddy that would hum/sing it as I found it annoying.  Eventually, I grew to miss it as you heard it less.  I also miss, what was it... I think it was Vanilla Fields perfume.  All the more attractive girls in my junior year wore it.  It was a fragrance you became accustomed to over time.  Besides, I do love vanilla.

I remember "Peaches" being played incessantly on the old video music channel The Box.  No annoying VJ's, no tv shows, all music videos, all day long, as selected by viewers for a nominal fee of like, $1.  Only downfall to that was the people that would play the same song 12 times in a 2-hour period. Speaking of that can you believe it wasn't until 2004 I saw the video for the first time?  For me, I would watch VH1 and you would see lots of Garbage, Third Eye Blind, and others.  You also saw alot of those one off bands that you don't hear of much or they don't record and have split up.

Such as...

Eagle Eye Cherry

Semisonic

Side Note: That song was our senior anthem in a way.  Very sad, very sad.

Wasn't that part of the 90's?  Maybe being a teenager I noticed more but there seemed to be alot of 1 hit wonders.  They would do something interesting and capture lightning in a bottle but couldn't pull it off again.

To go along with your post, I remember as a teenager these songs getting played a lot:
"Lovefool" by The Cardigans...what happened to them?

"Kiss Me" by Sixpence None The Richer

"Molly" by Sponge...mid '90s Alt-Rock band that hit it big when all the other bands came out after Nirvana and Pearl Jam.  Nowadays...I think they're living in Oklahoma or something.

Like him or not, somehow Adam Sandler became a movie star in the '90s, thanks in part to the success of these movies.

That was actually pretty good.  Stupid but at least it had a decent though overused story.

Mentioning the Cardigans also reminded me of:

I like Lovefool but trying to cover Iron Man.  Sorry, Sabbath has that one all the way.  Even solo Ozzy sucked at it.

Empire Records came out in the mid '90s.  Love it still.  Just watched it today.

One would argue most of Sandler's movies were under the 'stupid' umbrella.  Maybe I'm just a tad immature but I love em.  Hence my name here, but still.
