I watched a show yesterday on extreme coupon clippers.  These folks spend countless hours a week scouring local papers and the internet for coupon deals.  They then in turn use the coupons with sales they spend hours on scouting beforehand at multiple grocery stores.  One woman LITERALLY bought $1000 + of groceries for $60 after coupons!  Its funny too because these folks have a stockpile of rations in their house that would make the armed forces jealous.

Though I would never be that extreme, I do tend to use coupons wherever applicable.  Knocking $20 off a grocery bill is well worth the effort.

So how about you, do you coupon shop? If so to what degree?

I only occasionally shop outside of Albertson's.  If there is a coupon on some hardware or something I'll need to shop elsewhere for I'll use it.  Otherwise I just get groceries on the way home from work at Albertson's, and they very seldom have coupons in their ads.  I'll just get what's on for the "Club Card" price, or whatever the membership card is called, I can't remember.  Those prices are pretty cheap; I also check the discontinued bins.

Rarely but on occasion. Of course in Canada most coupons are limited to one per customer...

I usually only go big time grocery shopping once every other month. Living by myself i dont see the point in shopping every week

If we happen to find a coupon for somethign we were going to buy anyway, then we'll use one.  Otherwise we don't pay too much attention to them.

You know I WANT to use coupons, but have no knack at all.  I even have gone so far as to have sorted coupons, and an itemized list.  Then I go shopping pay for everything and find both list and coupons in my pocket some hours later.

Great idea!  If the janitor's door is ajar, and a pretty customer walks by and has a spare moment or two for you.. a quickie would indeed be very tempting.  :hot:

Now THAT depends on location and staff members.

Wow, that is extreme.  Haven't heard of that one.  I HAVE heard of people who stockpile lots of coupons for various high demand products and sell them cheap to other people.  I dunno if this still happens much, though.

To be honest, very rarely.  In fact, I don't see in some ways how one can save money looking at coupons because whenever I look at a huge sheet of coupons I find myself tempted to buy crap I don't normally buy just through the power suggestion.  I mean, I might be looking and I see, "Oooh... but two and get a $1.00 off on a bag of such and such candyl!  You know, I don't normally buy that, but now that I see the picture...."

I guess you need a stronger will than mine to truly SAVE money with those.

Although I do use Hardees coupons a LOT, and coupons to the local Casey's convenience store.  (They sell pizza there.)

And also, for those online "clip and save" coupons, I don't have a printer at home, so I can't use them.

Really depends on the coupon and the item.  If I usually buy it yes but don't go out of my way to find them.
Ah, the good old days.

Trevor

If an item has a coupon stating that a specific amount can be saved on this item on presentation of the coupon, then I will buy it.

I have never used coupons when shopping. Never looked for any either.
We do get Burger King coupons in the mailbox about twice a year. We always split them amongst family and friends. No idea who puts them there but we suspect some local BK employee, because the Burger King is only 4 minutes drive away.

Staff members in general or specifically male staff and their members?
