No, it doesn't. I think he's using blanks, which barely have enough recoil to cycle the action in the first place. If someone tries this with standard rounds, they're going to get hurt.
It would be one thing if he had a disclaimer saying it was a joke and for entertainment only but he's presenting this as real advice!
