Does anyone know of sites that let you download free anti-virus software and use it on a PC that doesn't have Internet, like the one I have at home?

Thanks, 100Nights: the thing is, I do take work home a lot on my memory stick / flash drive and I would like some sort of protection at home. The only thing I have for viruses at home right now is Vitamin C.  Wink

ah got it...
then because of the ever changing nature of virii, without regular updates to the protection software it quickly becomes dated.
This unfortunately is almost always results in web updates. I can find one that does not I will be sure to pass it along.

Hmmm. Virii, plural of virus. So does that mean that anti-virus service only protects against one virus?

Hmmm.

I think I'll start my very gimmicky "anti-virii" service now. Slogan:

"Don't settle for virus protection, get Virii protection with Virii Be Gone."

I didn't bother to research, I just accepted that it followed the rule of most of the latin-based English words that end in "us."

In other words, a feeble attempt at humor.

The machine at work is the one that needs protection, because it's the one that's exposed. Assuming its antivirus is working properly, any files you copy from it should be safe.
