Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but since I'm not looking for something specific, I figured it didn't belong in the 'Name The Movie' section.

So, I've always been a cheesy 80's movie fan, but recently, I've started diving into the 70's.  I've loved the  exploitation, blaxploitation, biker flicks, etc... that I've seen lately, so I'm looking for more.  Some of the ones that I've really enjoyed:  Darktown Strutters, The Thing With Two Heads, The Incredible Two Headed Transplant, The Mechanic, Sugar Hill, Coffey, Psychomania, Death Wish, and some others...

I know it's pretty vague, but I guess what I'm looking for are suggestions for others like the ones above.  I've got a ton of the better known ones on my list, but am looking for more obscure options.  For me, the crazier the better, and I LOVE for it to be a mix of gritty and cheesy.  And, it's gotta have that great 70's groove music to it.  Bad movies are (obviously) greatly appreciated!

I've researched online and found a bunch of good ones, but I figured I'd bring it to you guys because so many of you share my tastes, and I wanted to hear some of your personal favs...

Thanks!

You absolutely need "Willie Dynamite"

http://www.badmovies.org/movies/willied/

and all of the "Dolemite" films.  Put your weight on it!

Actually, next week, a local bookstore is showing "Willie Dynamite" as part of their weekly film series.  I was considering going.  Consideration over - I'll be there, thanks for the suggestion!

As much as I love blaxploitation, I haven't caught any of the Dolemite flicks either, so I'll add those to the list.

Thanks Andrew!

Some fine 70s Exploitation/Cheese

THE AMAZING TRANSPLANT (1970) - Doris Wishman softcore penis transplant movie
THE BIG BIRD CAGE (1972) - One of the better of the Women-in-Prison genre
BLACULA (1972) - first to mix blaxploitation and horror
BLOOD FREAK (1972) - unbelievable pro-Christian, anti-drug gore movie
DEATH RACE 2000 (1975) - nuff said
FOXY BROWN (1974) - more Pam Grier; if you liked COFFY...
THE MANITOU (1978) - super-cheese
THE SEVEN BROTHERS MEET DRACULA (1974) - kung fu + vampires
THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (1974) - classic
TNT JACKSON (1974) - blaxploitation + kung fu; Jeannie Bell is almost as good as Pam Grier here
THE WARRIORS (1979) - you probably know this one

Very nice list Rev, thanks!  I've seen and loved Blacula (and Blackenstein), Foxy Brown, Texas Chainsaw, and The Warriors, but the others are now officially on my 'To See' list.

I've seen just about every bit of 80's cheese that there is to see, but I've discovered that there is just something so unique about 70's cheese that I'm really digging, so I'm trying to get my fill.  Thanks for the suggestions!  Checking Netflix now...

Another great list, thanks voltron!  I'll look into these as well...  (is it obnoxious for me to be replying to EVERY post in my own thread?)

I forgot to mention that I also recently saw Fight For Your Life, so the 70's revenge thriller is another one that I'm interested in (I've seen Last House On The Left as well of course).

My list is getting longer, thanks Burgomaster!  FYI:  it looks like King Frat is available on Netflix (not streaming, just dvd) if you were looking for it as well...
