Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Looking for a film about a film student.
I recall from the trailer, an overweight middle age man asks the geeky young protagonist if he's a virgin, he nods for yes, & the older man slaps his knee & starts laughing.

As for the movie it'self, I only caught the end.
On the night of a major film competition, the protagonist & his friends are digging through the garbage trying to piece their movie back together after a rival film student shredded it.
The competition opens with a film focusing on an egg, with Sprache Zarathustra (The theme from 2001) playing as the camera zooms out to reveal a hammer falling on the egg.
The rival student has produced an artsy fartsy piece about four men in football pants & pig masks, who dance in a circle around a coed while one of them waves a stick at her.

The protagonist & his gang just in time to show off their film.
It's an homage to James Bond, with the geeky protagonist as the hero. His film ends with a tall fat guy dressed as a baby biting into an onion, but before he can breathe on the hero, he gets breathe sprayed to death. The arch villain is the aforementioned middle age man from the trailer. The geek shoots him, & in a phony foreign accent says, "You shot me in the middle of my dinner!"

Afterwards, the professor & MC goes out on stage & pull out an envelope. He announces that his piece about the egg has won.

The geeky protagonist & his girlfriend leave the theater in optimistic resolution. While they are talking, a crowd rushes outside to inform him that the professor was only kidding, & that the geek has won.

I'm not sure, but I think some Hollywood producers drive up in a limo.
The protagonist has an awkward moment with a girl who broke his heart, then he & his girlfriend get in the limo & drive away.

tnx in advance for your help.
