Well, as to business, we don't allow people to make crystal meth and sell it for porfit because it "hurts society". Likewise we don't let people make kiddie porn and distribute it for profit because it hurts society.

BUT we allow big corporations to take millions of jobs out of america to countries that are openly hostile to freedom and democracy like china for profit. Between people making and selling meth to those willing to buy it and taking jobs away from people unwilling to lose them, I know which hurts american society more.

If we're going to stop people from selling pot to protect society from the mark it supposedly causes then we must stop corporate america from taking america's economic base away for profit because that sure as hell harms america.

As to the democratic process, how do we have one when major businesses and rich people can simply saturate the public with ad blitzes designed to make things so only the candidates that favor the rich can be elected?

There's gotta be something more to it than that...
But one thing I'm sure of had policies and government support for employers to weaken labor unions not occurred (Taft-Hartley act people), the negative effects of globalization could have been dealt with much better as our economy became post-industrial. I mean, geez Wal-Marts are unionized in Argentina and stores similar to them are unionized in other Western countries. Big business has it's ways for collusion which makes the playing field uneven, so why can't we build up our side so we can bargain more fairly. So far we aren't able to bargain in the market in the ideal sense.


On the other note I'd like to beat the sh*t out this person I saw a couple years back THROWING KITTENS OUT OF THEIR CAR WINDOW WHILE DRIVING SO OTHER CARS COULD HIT THEM!!!! Beautiful, sweet kittens killed because this @sshole was a total pyscho! I hope if there is a Hell this person goes there.

You missed every point there was. You can't possibly believe any business in America could survive being required to use domestic labor AND deal with unions under those circumstances. That's taking being naive to a whole new level. Have you ever dealt with a union, or seen the extremes they can gravitate towards? I have, and it's not the answer.

Oh, well, you'll like this one then.  I read they (the Westboros) were in a town (can't recall where, but I can look it up if you want) protesting a funeral and someone went and slashed the tires on their van.  Well, they took it to a local mechanics shop and the OWNER came out and REFUSED to sell them any tires.  I'm told they got the same reaction all over town.

They are still illegal. but trust, if they do actually arrest someone (which is rare in my experiences), then  they are always back out of jail in under four hours. It's crap.

Plus, sadly, lots of time the victim refuses to press charges, limiting what the police can do.

Personally, I couldn't care less what your politics are. When you're talking about movies, I REALLY don't care. But that's not what you're about. You come on as a non-member, creating a nickname of Barack Clinton, and so far I've not seen you post anything other than the standard rhetoric which identifies you clearly by a specific label that tells me you have your views supplied to you already. In other words, I haven't seen a shread of intellectual reasoning, just rhetoric. Until you do, and until you become a member and show the smallest speck of respect for the board, then yes, you have no balls.

And trust me, you can ask Indy and Umaril and they'll verify, if a conservative republican were to behave in the same way, I would say the same thing.
