Vampire falls in love with a librarian woman, kid with a long scream 80/90's?

Ok so this vampire with a beard and wearing frumpy jumpers - he doesn't look like an ordinary vampire. Anyway he moves to some town and starts dating this librarian who I think had a blonde-haired boyfriend. Anyway the most memorable scene is when some kids break into his house to make out, etc and he kills one or two of them and the rest flee but one trips on the door and you see him get dragged back in and he's screaming over and over and every time it gets higher and higher.

If anyone could help I would really appreciate it this has been bugging me for months!
