I remember the media making such a huge deal out of this. Anthony Perkins returns! We went to see it twice at the theater when I was a kid, and we had to stand twice in line that went around the block. Good times.

1981-1983 was THE golden era of slashers!

Seen almost all except for Sudden Impact, Staying Alive.

I highly, HIGHLY recommend both! Well, maybe not Staying Alive. I like it (mainly for the music), but it is painful to watch.

Wasn't Never Say Never Again an HBO movie?  Or was it made by HBO and released in theaters?  That one and OHMSS are the two Bond movies that are just out of place.  Even though I liked NSNA.

I liked it better when it was Thunderball.

I have a soft spot in my heart for this movie.  For one thing, this is probably the very first movie the whole family gathered to watch on Grandmom's VCR, the first one the family owned.  For another, if you look hard enough there actually is a good buildup to the "big reveal" of the Momma shark.

The only part I like is the big shootout after he snorts about six pounds of coke at the end.
