I don't see any point to casual flirting.  I hate it when a woman I'm attracted to does it to me, and I can't see why I'd be interested in flirting with someone I'm not attracted to.

You seem rather hostile there Rev, you don't by any chance work in a seafood market, do you?

Never give up on love

« Reply #20 on: April 28, 2011, 06:24:12 AM »

I'm an unashamed flirt when I'm single.  And I usually mean business.  I've also done it for male friends of mine if they feel like their girlfriends are being neglectful.  Because that's the kind of friend I am  TeddyR

When I'm attached I only do it if I'm feeling neglected or lonely.  But it's only for fun and to make myself feel better.  I never do it to hurt anyone.

I rarely flirt. I tend to have difficulty picking up on someone else flirting with me, and I'm pretty shy by nature. I can remember a couple of different cashiers at a gas bar in my hometown who I think flirted with me. This was back when I was younger, fitter, and single. One used the fact that we both drove early 80s Cutlass Supremes as an ice breaker. The other, who was very cute, seemed to light up whenever I walked in the store, and always seemed ready to chat. A friend of mine confirmed this, and urged me to flirt back, but I just wasn't sure.

There have been a couple of ladies I've flirted with - coworkers mostly. Older, married ladies with a sense of humour, who I'd worked with enough to be comfortable. We'd joke around, and it would get a little flirty. Totally innocent and in good fun, but I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about what it might be like to, you know. Again, this was when I was a little younger, and at least somewhat attractive.

I don't really flirt well. To be honest, I never had much success romance-wise until I gave up on flirtation and took a more direct approach.

Been married 22 years (or is it 23?  Oh god, I better figure that out right away) so I'm afraid I'm just a casual flirter.  I'm extremely loyal, moreso than most pets actually.

Do I mean nothing to you ?

Older, married ladies with a sense of humour.

It's completely irrational, but for some reason I find it depressing that I resemble that remark.   Bluesad

On the other hand: I avoid flirting in real life. I guess I am not good at it because more often than not it seems to invite full-out active pursuit...EEK!  Buggedout
