I'm new to the site, but it looks like there are a lot of great minds helping out on here, so I'm hoping that the collective recollection of the board might be able to help me track down an old memory of mine.

When I was a kid I saw an old 50's B-movie on our local Friday night fright-fest TV show...I recall it being set out west in the mountains (I think). There were bat-like aliens that would attack people by attaching themselves to the back of the neck. I'm afraid that's about all I can recall from it.

I've searched and searched for this film for years now but can't come up with anything at all on it.

I know this is the flimsiest of information to go on, but does anyone have a clue what this movie might be?

Thanks!

Another good possibility is "It Conquered the World" (1956).  The bat things are sent out by the alien to take control of people.

"It Conquered the World" is the first that comes to mind for me.

And we have a winner! It Conquered the World is it! Thanks for all of the help! I can now rest peacefully at night. At least until the nightmares start again...those damn nightmares. Cthulhu...Cthulhu...
