I haven't seen most of that but I found the cartoon and two TV series (btw where is the Highlander TV show on your list?) nearly unwatchable yet I liked Highlander II...

I liked "Highlander II" when it was released. I was a kid, please understand. The rest of the sequels are absolutely awful. I'd only give "Endgame" some credit because it tried to do things right.

The TV series starring Adrian Paul were pretty good, though. It's a shame he has only starred on one film, and that it is the worst of them all.

I think I saw the first one a long time ago.  Remember it being moderately interesting.  Cant say that it inspired me to check out any of the sequels though.

The Source and Endgame are by far the worst, Highlander 2 can actually be ignored since it takes place well into the future. Meanwhile any other movie besides H3 just rapes the canon.

Highlander - Just a very good movie.
Highlander 2 - A very entertaining movie.
Highlander 4 - Not too bad, but I think of it more as a good effort than anything else.

Highlander 3 - s**t

The cartoon - WTF?

It was perhaps 1991 or 1992 that I saw Highlander II in the cinema.  Back then I enjoyed it, ignoring the many hokey aspects.  I also recall Michael Ironside coming from the planet Zeiss or something, announced by a caption on the screen.

Last night I finally pulled out a DVD of the Highlander II special edition with 'over 100 new special effects, Highlander II like you've never seen it before!'

I think it was a heavily reedited version, quite different from the theatrical release.  I understand there is also a 'renegade version' in which they don't come from another planet at all.

Man, I could barely stop myself from laughing at all the wrong things.  The poor script, the crappy editing, the disjointedness of the whole thing.  Erk.

As for the others: didn't Highlander III have some black dude in it?  And Highlander Endgame's only redeeming aspect was Donnie Yen and his awesome fight choreography.

I enjoyed the TV series very much, although something about Adrian Paul's demeanour caused my brother and I to name him 'Thick McLeod'.

Mario Van Peebles was the black dude. I wouldn't recommend any movies after 3.

THERE ARE NO HIGHLANDER SEQUELS!

More seriously,

"The Source" is like a deliberate insult to Highlander fans; absolute worst.
"The Quickening" has no appreciation for its source material; second worst.
"The Sorcerer" (H3) is a slightly less egregious in its abandonment of continuity, but it's basically just a rehash of H1, so why bother?

I have not tormented myself with any of the others.

I have only seen the first Highlander movie.  The first time I saw it, I hated it.  I thought it was uncommonly dull.  Years later, I bought the DVD (hoping I would really like it this time) and watched  it again.  I thought it was okay, but still nothing great.  Based on this, I never had the urge to watch any of the others.

Highlander gets better each time I watch it. First time I thought it was okay. Second time I thought it was pretty great.
