Aliens, werewolves, giant killer animals, normal-sized killer animals, fictional beasts, these are all in the broad "monster movie" category. As long as poor souls are getting maimed and/or devoured by a puppet or stop-motion or animatronic, I'll probably buy it full price, and watch it with or without Mst3k commentary. Killer rats, killer cockroaches, giant mantids, piranhas, sharks, alligators, crocodiles, anacondas, pythons, cobras, lions, tigers, bears, killer bunnies, evil space clowns, bats, killer birds, killer bees, komodo dragons, dinosaurs, flesh-eating martians, worms, scorpions, giant locusts, regular-sized killer locusts, giant spiders, regular-sized killer spiders...Get the idea? Alright, let us commence.
This is merely (as you'll likely figure out when you see what ranks as #1) my opinion. No voting beforehand, just me ranking my personal favorite movies from the genre I still watch more than any other (despite what my health specialists recommend) in order of which I simply delight in watching the most.
And of course, feel free to voice your opinion on the matter and/or create your own ranked list. And apologies, I can't really 'analyze' why I rank one film over the other, or why this film deserved to be on my list. I'm not the greatest writer. I'm not even certain why I'm taking the time to compile this. -shrugs- ^^;
