The top three along with Magnum Force and Serpico are truly fantastic films. I'm not keen on the Bowie flick or Planet Of The Apes, but put this list next to any of the ones posted for 1995-2010 and I can't really fault any of them.

The Exorcist (1973) - Definitely an effective horror movie.  Pure classic.
The Sting (1973) - Remember seeing this a looooong time ago and thinking it was very clever.
American Graffiti (1973) - wonderful slice of Americana.  Very entertaining.  Another classic.
Papillon (1973) - Think I caught the last half of that on TV.  Even that small portion was very effective.
The Way We Were (1973) - nope, kinda missed this one   TeddyR
Magnum Force (1973) - What can ya say, awesome movie.
Live and Let Die (1973) - I remember having that movie on my ViewMaster  BounceGiggle  One of my favorites definitely.  That crazy sheriff was hilarious.
Enter the Dragon (1973) - Classic Bruce Lee.  Watched it several times.
Walking Tall (1973) - Have vague memories of seeing this back when I was a kid.
High Plains Drifter (1973) - They've shown this a few times too many on TV for me.  Really one of the weakest Clint Eastwood films of them all.
Jesus Christ Superstar (1973) - Saw that when I was in Catholic elementary school lol.
Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973) - cant' really remember which one that was.  Never been a big fan of those movies.

001  $  204.6        The Exorcist (1973)
This movie has never seemed scary to me, tbh.  In fact, some parts of it are hilarious!

002  $  159.6        The Sting (1973)
Never been able to sit through it, and I'm not too fond of that damned repetitive theme song, either.

003  $  115.0        American Graffiti (1973)
Very good movie.

004  $   53.3         Papillon (1973)
005  $   49.9         The Way We Were (1973)
Never seen.

006  $   44.7         Magnum Force (1973)
The best Dirty Harry movie.

007  $   35.4         Live and Let Die (1973)
A good first effort for Moore Bond, though the climax is underwhelming.

008  $   32.1         Robin Hood (1973)
This movie freaked me the hell out and I was very uncomfortable watching it when I was little.  I think it was the anthropomorphic animals.  Robin Hood is a whole different ball game than, say, the talking animals in The Jungle Book or The Fox and the Hound.  Those animals really are animals, but Robin Hood's animal-people were profoundly disturbing, especially since there were no humans around.  What happened to all the humans?  Are we watching were-creatures?  Did the animals eat all the people and take over?  Why are there lions in England?  Why does a lion have romantic interest in a fox?  How do the chicken-man's feathers work like fingers?  Those were the kind of thoughts going through my head when I watched this thing when I was little.

009  $   27.3         Serpico (1973)
Never seen.

010  $   25.0         Enter the Dragon (1973)
It's a Kung-Fu movie, all right.

011  $   23.0         Walking Tall (1973)
I miss these dirty and mean types of movies.

012  $   18.3         Sleeper (1973)
I cannot tolerate Woody Allen, though I have at least made it all the way through this movie.  That's more than I can say for anything else he's made and/or been in.

013  $   15.7         High Plains Drifter (1973)
There needed to be more supernatural westerns.

014  $   13.2         Jesus Christ Superstar (1973)
Never seen.

015  $    8.8          Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973)
This is the post-apoc one, right?  Not very good but it was an okay way to kill time if it was on TV when I was a kid.

016  $    4.5          Cry of the Wild (1973)
017  $    2.3          The Day of the Dolphin (1973)
018  $    1.6          Jonathan Livingston Seagull (1973)
019  $    0.2          Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (1973)
020  $    0.1          The Holy Mountain (1973)
Never seen.
