I don't know that it's much worse that the kind of vernacular portrayed in Mark Twain novels. I'd say there are bigger problems in our future than a few illiterates running around.

I disagree. You NEED to be literate now. Back in Twains day-ok. But having people-our future leaders in a much more sophisticated world to be illiterite morons. NO
Even if they are not gonna be leaders.
This is not 1800 something.

I should say I love finding notes like this. Working in a public library, lots of people little personal notes lying around. It all goes into lost & found, which I clear out after two months. It's pretty voyeuristic, but every once in a while you get treated to notes like this.

Heck, we got a note from a child in our suggestion box that stated "you guys smell like (caca) poop." Now, the introduction of parentheses for the "caca" comment really make me wonder. What exactly was the thought process that went into this? Other than the personal hygiene commentary of course, which is an issue I've endeavored to change in myself.

I also found this, which is probably one of my favorite things ever.

No idea if that was meant to be me, but I like to think it does.

Allow me to take a stab at this one...

Public school?

Am I right? Do I win?

I'm going for the bonus question... which school district?

Atlanta?

Coming from southern California, if the girl was a Crip, they originally started (I believe) in the L.A. area. Though, they may have expanded into other areas. So, my guess would be somewhere in L.A. And let's not hope the boy is associated with the Bloods, or the major rivals of the Crips, or we'd see something approaching "Romeo and Juliet," but with worse grammar.
