A good bad movie is like popcorn for the soul!

« on: July 26, 2011, 10:30:14 AM »

I watched this one very late last night, and I'll admit I wasn't in a totally serious and critical frame of mind, but it is hilarious!!  Andrew, you really need to add this to your queu to review - it is a bad movie, made by bad movie lovers FOR bad movie lovers!  During the newscasts, be sure to read the crawl across the bottom of the screen - it's full of all sorts of bad movie buff insider jokes, with references to Steven Spielberg and Uwe Boll thrown in for laughs.

The plot is a mess - the military is cloning all the famous serial killers of history and "enhancing" their clones to make them even more deadly and murderous, so that they can become super soldiers who will utterly terrorize the enemy.  Then there is a fire in the lab and the clones of Dahmer and Gacy break out and begin ripping a bloody swath across the country.  Meanwhile a down and out alcoholic named Ringo hears the voice of God talking to him from a broken stereo set ordering him to go stop the two super killers.  There are also ninjas, serial killer groupies, gay necrophilia, and a female general who tries to break the record for dropping the Fbomb multiple times in a single scene.  There is no female nudity, which is hardly surprising since the two main characters were both gay serial killers. Sorry, Jack!

This movie is just pure silliness from start to finish, with a blood-spattered finale that has to be seen to be believed.  It is the funniest bad movie I have seen since THE COWBOY KILLER.

Now, why does that plot sound like it belongs in anime?
I mean, in the sequel, do they come back as zombies...or would that be redundant?

Earth is visited by a GIANT ANTIMATTER SPACE BUZZARD! Gawk at the amazingly bad bird puppet, or chuckle over the silly dialog. This is one of the greatest b-movies ever made.
