Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

« on: August 13, 2011, 05:56:18 PM »

Trying to find a movie About a town ruled by a biker gang, who have a huge marijuana plantation, and a vigilante who calls in his army buddies to restore justice.

What I recall, one of the army buddies is now a weapons dealer, who often borrows someone else's yacht to do business.

A scene I recall from the trailer, a bearded fat guy in sunglasses fire a bazooka, then licks his fingers & draws a #1 in the air.

Two other scenes I recall: Two teens in a VW van stumble across the pot farm & cheer before a biker shows up & shoots them.
In another scene, the weapons dealer (for absolutely no reason) stops into the biker's hangout for a beer. The leader of the gang asks him what sort of business he's in, to which he replies, "Minding my own." Meanwhile, two bikers search his van & figure out he's delivering guns to the vigilante & his buddies.

DEVASTATOR description from IMDB review: "War buddies get together to avenge the death of a fallen comrade, and along the way stop a greedy tyrant that is controlling a small Northern California town by the marijuana farming industry. The bullets and bodies fly (as well as the bad voice overdubs), so fans of mindless violence will be pleased. Don't expect much on the special effects side, since a budget is almost non-existent here, except that which went towards destruction.. Highlights include: The antics of a poorly portrayed maniac named Ox, who burns down the pot field all the while screaming and inhaling the smoke, the hero of the films dramatic climax and all of its ridiculous glory (and toy helicopter explosions). This will be remembered by the few and the proud."

This may be it! :-)
The review on http://tarstarkas.net/2005/08/the-destroyers/ looks pretty familiar.

Trouble is, further searches keep leading me to The Transformers or George Thorogood. Lookingup
