The internet can be a blob of junk...

I'm working on my second book, Neon Lights which takes place during 1893 World's Fair. In the early part of the story I'm introducing the main characters as they travel to the worlds fair. Calvin is a 19-year-old trick shooter with his stage partner Pete (who seems to be the writer and the manager of the act) they are traveling by train (coach) to Chicago to compete in the Wild West show.

The problems I'm running into is the common Terminology of the areas inside the train, my best memory of a inside of the train around the late 1800's is from Horror Express and maybe a few old westerns.

The other main character is Rebecca, she is traveling with her mother and younger sister from New York, it seems based upon my earlier research that they would be traveling my train and then take a boat across the great lake. I'm not actually sure about the length of time this may take, I'm assuming a full day or maybe a day and a half.

I dont believe my story is gong to be Historically Accurate but I would like to make it very close. Thanks :)
