A Question for Those with White Dicks

Both the thread by Cowf**ker which became something degrading to women, and especially a fellow forum member's remark to me in a message about it makes me want to both posit a question, and even the odds a little bit.

The remark she made, and she shall remained unnamed, was along the lines of being female that she was not keen on entering into the discussion. It was literally that remark, reading back through the message that made me think of something, and that is if someone is white and has a dick, they are not going to feel like the minority on this forum, they are not going to feel uncomfortable about entering into a conversation about women being inferior, and immigrant workers, middle easterners, veiled racist discussions, and other ways in which someone differs from the ones with the white dicks.

What place is it for someone to be made to feel uncomfortable about getting into a discussion because it's about them and how they differ from the status quo?

Certainly those with white dicks are not going to feel the same as those who are the subjects of such discussions. I can't say I would have thought of this line of questioning if I had not the benefit of that message and wondering why someone should be made to feel unwelcome in a discussion because it's about their differences, it's about them.

I can't say that I know what that feels like; I don't. I know that there are several of us on here who get a taste of that because we might be just a little too dark for peoples' tastes and get various nicknames and often asked where we are from, things along that line. And yet the collective of my experiences with prejudice pales in comparison to what someone goes through simply because they were born black, or female, or some other perceived difference; the complete randomness of birth.

I'm not going to point fingers, but I know there are several on here who have participated in such discussions and said things that would be offensive to someone female, or black, hispanic, middle eastern...choose your difference.

So I just simply want to ask, because I seriously want someone to explain it to me, what does having a white dick mean to someone that makes them so much better than anybody else? That gives them the right to make someone feel uncomfortable because they don't have the white dick? Kindly explain it to me...I really want to know.

This thread also serves another purpose to balance things out as there is a status quo of the white dick on here, so here is a thread about the white dick.

I believe that the point of your post is that discriminating or disrespecting someone due to their race, sex, religion, or sexual orientation is wrong.

I used a common word which also happens to be someone's first name; Peter can be used in the same, but I did not use it in parody or as first name, I used it in a serious post spurned on by an unfortunate thread which was subsequently locked.

The way I said it is a lot more eloquent than simply pandering that discrimination is wrong and feeling that saying that is enough.

If someone sends you a nasty email for the use of a word without any consideration of the context in which it was used, somebody's not giving a damn, which if you'll notice is the point of my post...and thank you for helping to make it for me.

Kind of come off like someone screaming reverse racism for the one time they are called cracker, but they see nothing wrong with their racist remarks.

People were made to feel uncomfortable and felt unwelcome in a thread because of derogatory statements you made about them simply for being born female. That doesn't bother either of you one bit?

Get a conscience, get something that makes either of you feel, and stop trying to act the victim.

Not really trying to get anybody to defend their point of view, just trying get some to feel what it's like to be the subject of a thread. When threads are not started about the things wrong with men, it's difficult, and understandably so, for many members to be rattled, me included, when a thread is derogatory toward women and that may make some members of the forum uncomfortable.

It's not a plea to restrict someone's speech; it's simply a plea to consider the people we might be talking about might well be our neighbors, or fellow forum members.
