I'M COMING FOR YOU!

« on: October 29, 2011, 11:24:05 AM »

hi
I have just come back from a movie festival and met Johnny Legend and Bobby Rhodes. These two guys were a joy to talk too and both gave very informative accounts of the film industry. This got me thinking(sometimes i do that!)
which famous star have you met and been really impressed with?
Which star have you met and really p**sed you off?
Norman j Warren was a complete ass when i met him and refused to sign my movie poster,on the other hand Barbara Steele was fantastic and we ended up having a drink in the bar and talking about her movie career.

Macabre.

I've run into various celebrities while working at Guitar Center in Arizona.

I met Alice Cooper, who is a resident here, several times, and the guy is pretty cool people. Very accessible, and much shorter than I anticipated.

I met Tommy Lee there too. What a douchebag. He came in with his entourage who basically did everything for him. I don't know what he was on, but when it came time for him to sign for his credit card somebody led him up to the terminal and his hand shook so much he could barely manage it.

It's the lesser-known celebrities that are always the nicer people to meet. I met the Rupert Greenhall, the keyboardist for The Fixx, and he was a very cool guy. The Fixx had a few hits in the 80's, but not exactly an A-list name. I was selling him something and asked him about his music. He said he was in a band in the 80's that I probably never heard of. I said "try me, I'm older than I look." He said "The Fixx."

I said "hell yeah I remember you guys." One Thing Leads to Another? Saved By Zero? Red Skies? I mean, I was a little more into rock than new wave back then, but I really liked The Fixx. He appreciated the recognition and he told me the one hit of their's he didn't care much for was One Thing Leads To Another. "It doesn't even have a progression, just a repetitive riff over and over."

I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org
