In my ongoing attempt to understand web culture and its odd fads, I came across this web series called Marble Hornets. The summary is this:
In 2006, film student Alex Kralie suddenly abandons his movie in the midst of production, swearing to burn the tapes and never speak of it again. Alex's friend Jay rescues the taped material and, years later, begins reviewing them...
There's a bit more to it, but that'll be more of a surprise for you. The series is... quite unnerving and pretty freaky. It's also really popular and got a DVD release, which shockingly Roger Ebert praised for being rahter good.
