Okay, the Top 100 has been posted, but there's a TON of top guitarists not in that list.

Where is Chet Atkins, Richard Smith and of course...

Tommy Emmanuel:

(Chet Atkins is like my hero).

Been giving my daughter guitar lessons for a couple of months now, and she's coming right along.  Working through Mel Bay Blue Book...she's doing great.

Awesome, I taught our two girls how to play guitar as well and they're both quite accomplished (amateur) musicians now.  And vastly more multi-talented than dad.  TeddyR

It's a great thing to teach your kids, it gives them a wonderful and fulfilling hobby that they can enjoy for the rest of their lives.

Yep. My son says he wants to play drums, so...I've been showing him videos of Neal Peart to fan the flames.   TeddyR

^ I'd suggest an electronic drum set that he can listen to through headphones   TeddyR BounceGiggle

Rory Gallagher, of County Donegal, Ireland,  tends to be forgotten on "greatests guitarists" lists. I myself am not a fan of most of the electric "white boy" blues artists, but Rory is an exception. I never fail to get a kick out of his playing and exuberant performances.

There are so many that can go on such a list.  I like when I find someone new (to me):

Small | Large

Also, good call on Rory Gallagher, Flick.
