Mexican Moon by Concrete Blonde...So utterly wonderful.  Smile
You're wonderful.  I've edited you but don't think I missed the point of your honest contrite admiration.

I love ROXY MUSIC.  There are albums of their's that are more to my taste.  But I love their first album best.

Death Proof - Various Artists

Most perfect soundtrack in my opinion. I never get tired listening to it because its full of beautiful, great, touching and cool music.

The Smith version of Baby It's You moves me, and The Love You Save by Joe Tex sends chills down my spine. There are actually songs for every mood on this album and yes, I'm listening to this album while typing this.

I love It's So Easy by Willy DeVille, Its a great song.

White Zombie - La Sexorcisto

I've not stopped listening to this for a little while now. Such a good album and brilliant film samples are the icing on the cake.

SLY AND THE FAMILY STONE There's A Riot Going On

I love this record; I had one or two of their albums on vinyl, and the 45rpm "Family Affair", but not this album, which I listen to very often.

TANK was always a big favorite of mine back from the early 80's and the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal.  This song was always a fave of mine, and it's from their album "Filth Hounds Of Hades."  The song is called Walking Barefoot Over Glass.

Hibria- Defying the Rules.

Probably one, if not the greatest, speed metal bands ever, solos that blows your brains away at the greatness of speed and intensity, even though it's like 50 minutes, it's just mind melting amazing. Take a listen, posting URLs to save space:

Daft Punk - Discovery

This is my favourite Daft Punk album.  I even ended up watching Interstella 5555, which is an animated movie that uses this album as the entire sound track.  A lot of these songs also get badass remixes in Alive (2007).

Cool thread!! My contribution:

WARRIOR SOUL - Salutations From the Ghetto Nation (1992)

Warrior Soul was my favorite '90s band, and one of the most underrated bands ever IMO. These guys specialized in angry, politically-charged punk/metal anthems with hooks that were big enough to land a whale. Unfortunately, despite a solid catalog (Salutations was their third album) they never caught on. After this album tanked, frontman Kory Clarke regularly complained to the press about the lack of support from their record label, which eventually got them bounced from the Geffen Records roster.

The "classic" lineup splintered by the mid 90s, but Clarke has kept the name alive with periodic reunions since then, with a new disc (Stiff Middle Finger) being released last year. All Soul is good Soul in my book, but they've never come close to equaling this record.

If anybody wants to check out an even longer, more in-depth geeky fanboy rant about my love for this band and album, I wrote a blog about it some time back:

This may not be my favorite of all time, but it's probably the album I played the most (over and over again for months) after I bought it.  I remember coming home from school and immediately putting this record on my turntable just about every day.  Sometimes, I'd listen to it a couple times in a row.  I love every song on it.

Boston- debut album

A lot of people say all their songs sound the same.. so what?  They rock and Brad Delp (rip) had a wonderful voice.
-More Than A Feeling
-Peace of Mind
-Foreplay/Long Time
-Rock & Roll Band
-Smokin'
-Hitch A Ride
-Something About You
-Let Me Take You Home Tonight
Generally all good tracks, Smokin' being probably the weak link.  Still.. whatta album!

Nobody but me ever picks "Abbey Road" as their favorite Beatles album, but I love the second side especially--those two long medleys where they cleaned out their closets of unfinished songs, and created something truly unique in rock music. First side has great tunes, too. My runner-up is the White Album, but there are some experimental tunes on there that are almost unlistenable (never let Yoko sing!)
