Because I saw the trailer for "Snow White and the Huntsman," I have plans on seeing that in 2012, if only because from the trailer, I think it is going to suck mightily.

And anytime Pixar releases a new film I'm there, so I have plans to see "Brave."

And that's it at this time. Of course, things will most likely change, as I become aware of what else will be released in 2012.

Is that Prometheus movie coming out next year?  I might see that.  Some sort of Alien prequel or sequel or something.

I'm willing to bet that during 2012 I will watch more movies released between 1970 and 1980 than movies released in 2012.

Amazing Spider-Man
The Avengers
Dark Knight Rises
Underworld: Awakening
Declaration of War
Haywire
Argo
Dog Fight
Django Unchained
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
World War Z
Skyfall
Wreck-It Ralph
The Grey

Undecided about 47 Ronin. On the one hand it's an awesome story and I'm always up for a great samurai epic. On the other hand it looks like it's going to be in 3D and will star Keanu Reeves.

Yeah, that's next June.  Takes place in the ALIEN universe, may or may not be a prequel.  I'm definitely seeing it.

Right now for sure:
The Avengers
The Amazing Spider-Man
Piranha 3DD
Haywire
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
Batman: The Dark Knight Rises

Maybe:
Underworld 4
The Grey
Jack the Giant Killer
The Expendables 2
Resident Evil: Retribution

And really anything else that looks good.

I'm not saying it doesn't look good, but I just read something in an article that bothered me:

Quote
Scott talked about how making sci-fi movies had changed since he last tackled the genre. A man in a rubber suit played the alien in Alien, "but today you can pretty much do anything you want" with digital technology, he said.

Seriously?  Did anyone watch Alien and think "yeah that was OK, but imagine how much better it would be with a bunch of CGI"?!?  Ugh.

The Dark Knight Rises
Plan 9
The Expendables 2
The Great Gatsby - I kinda lucked the version 1974 verison of the film, not one of my favorites but I did like it,  and it's one of my favorite books

I've been rethinking this and the only movie that I cannot wait until they come out on DVD to see is The Dark Knight Rises
