Still too freaking hot. Did have a break in it with a rainy day yesterday though.

Weird August weather: down to 50 F in the morning (with fog), up to 78 F around midday, with strong warm winds and overcast.

Looking back at July: most rain fall in over 20 years, still, it was also one of the hottest (but not the hottest) when it didn't rain (up to 95 F in some regions).

Overcast, rainy day but muggy for most of it though.

It's been 50-60 F since last week. Went to a BBQ at my sisters on Saturday. Around 7:00 pm there was a wind storm, with heavy rain and thunder. We were sitting on her patio (which has a small roof) wrapped in blankets because temps even dropped more. Haven't felt that cold in August in a long time.

It's cooled off considerably. Many rainy, foggy days have passed recently.

Rather pleasant for August here, not quite as hot as it usually is.  Humid though of course.  Had a good thunderstorm a couple nights ago with an inch and a half of rain.  This morning it's rather foggy.

42 F in the morning two days ago, 77 F yesterday afternoon. We've pretty much had non-stop winds since July. Today is the first day without wind it seems.

It keeps teasing that it is gonna rain, but hasn't. I think when it does, sober or drunk, I'm gonna go for a very, very long walk. I'm fairly sure the cops will stop me if they see me.

It appears that 2014 is the year of extreme weather in our parts, breaking records every month. Looking back at August:

It was one of the coldest in over 30 years (!) (average temps 17.5 C). Rainfall was within the norm, hours of sunshine less than the norm. Ex-Hurricane "Bertha" was/is responsible for the heavy winds I've been mentioning the last couple of weeks.
They are predicting hot 26 C for tomorrow.

Chilly, rainy, leaves are changing colors.  Definitely the first day of October here.  Think golf season may be coming to an end  Bluesad
