I was on the Full Moon website looking for an article that's not freaking up yet (part two of the Worst Horror Movie Monsters of All Time... wanna read that one bad) and read a post that is really different/weird/not sure how I feel about it.

Full Moon is having a Valentine's Day Sale next week. If a person buys a $1000 gift card for $500 (that's one of their deals - looks like they're having a 50% off sale), that person gets an executive producer credit on the film Puppet Master Axis Rising. This kind of shocks me. I think a lot of people will actually do it, so the executive producer list is going to be ridiculous. Is this a brilliant way to sell gift cards or is this a desperate attempt to make money? Or both? My friends and I debated it and I was curious to hear what you guys think. I talked with a professor of mine (economics) and he thinks it would make for a cool project...to see if this will actually work for them or not...? Interesting stuff. Gotta love Charles Band. lol

Considering how weak the last Puppet Master film was, I dunno about them selling that many.  It's also not hard to just have a giant list of names stacked three columns wide scroll for about a minute - can fit in hundreds of people easily that way.

Myself, I like Full Moon (or used to, haven't done much I like lately), but can't really justify $500 of money on them.

I think $500 comes out to like 50 DVDs (if one was to only use the card to buy single DVDs). I just imagined a fan who bought the $500 card in a bar... an attractive woman asks him what he does for a living and he says, "Oh, I executive produce movies. You ever hear of Puppet Master Axis Rising? It was all me. Charlie and me are TIGHT!" *pause* "You wanna come home with me? I live in my mother's basement!"  BounceGiggle
