Unfortunately, I find myself listeng to these more and more these days.
Except for In thee. I simply cannot listen to In thee.
I'd cry like a little b***h. Bluesad

Some more R.E.M. which can be tough to listen to but which I also love.

Here's one I'll bet has driven some folks to suicide:

Country music, of course, is full of grief, but here's a real tearjerker for me:

Then there's this classic tear-jerking one-hit wonder by Randy Van Warmer:

Finally, for the broken career as well as the broken heart, a perfect hard-times song:

I don't really cry, which I view as a deficiency in myself. However, there are a few songs that are emotionally loaded for me.

When I got the news that my grandmother had died, I locked myself in a room to be alone. I decided to play the soundtrack to The Royal Tanenbaums.

On that album there is a song by Nick Drake called "Fly."

Nick Drake's a pretty depressing guy at the best of times, but some of the lyrics in this song really hit me and helped me through a tough night.

"Please give me a second grace,
Please give me a second face,
I've fallen far down, the first time around,
Now I just sit on the ground in your way"

I can't really hear that song without being reminded of that tough night.

Crucify My Love by Japan X

youtu.be/QELIi9TM7tw

This is the only song that has ever made me cry. It is one of my favorites.

I would post a real link, but I can't.

Yeah, you can't post a link now.  You need to post a few more times and then you can post real links.

Here's another song (Song becomes even more tear jerker when seen alongside that ending from Cold Case):

I kinda got some 'issues' with the father.

Basically I haven't had any semblence of a relationship with the guy in the past 28 years.

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic

A lot of people are familiar with the original album cut by Eddie Hazel but this one is done by Funkadelics other guitarist Michael Hampton.

This music makes me feel kind of sad but some of it also makes me feel kind of hopeful as well...

Great Canadian band, great yet very sad song.  Thumbup Too bad they didn't get too much attention outside of Canada. Jase, do you know the name of their other single that contains the lyrics "...more than you deserve"? It reminds me of classic Neil Young for some reason. Excellent song as well.
