The best Big Ape film in history was unleashed on the world today:
1933 – The film King Kong opens at New York's Radio City Music Hall.

I love the distance shot at 1:00.

I can't count the number of times I saw King Kong on t.v. growing up. Maybe not as many times as The Wizard of Oz, but probably pretty close.

Happy Birthday to the King of giant monster movies!!!  Cheers I love this movie!      It never gets old for me. I get the chills when I see Kong bust through the jungle-his first appearnce-dam. Willis OBrian was waaay ahead of his time. And gave rise to one of my favorites-Ray Haryhausen. Dam-I miss the good old days of stop-motion animation. Aint no such thing now. (heavy sigh) Bluesad

One of my favorite movies of all time, and probably the most important one in developing my taste in film. Its one of those movies I owe almost all my watching habits too.

Y'know editing is possible on a forum.  I find "mypos" all the time, and I proofread what I write.  '33, '35 and the "aired" which would be like a broadcast not a screening...  Thumbup Smile
I will continue to observe and advise.
