A bunch of live action roleplayers (better known as Larpers) accidently summon a demon during their little 'adventure'.  As such, it's up to this guys to defeat the demon and send it back to hell.

I dunno.  It could be a good horror comedy.  I like the concept and I like the people involve, so who knows!  Let's just wait and see.

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

Lagomorphs: menace or underutilized resource?

« Reply #1 on: December 10, 2014, 11:20:47 AM »

This movie is now on Netflix, and it is a lot of fun. It's not exactly all that I was hoping for when I first heard about it, but it has some great lines and a fun plot. Since they actually wanted people to watch it, they got too many attractive people to play the LARPers, but that is to be expected. The demon that is summoned uses a guy in a rubber suit instead of CGI, and I enjoyed that battle quite a bit.

Watch it and see what you think. But please watch it with friends. I didn't because I don't have any friends (poor, sad little me).

The hero of this movie is not. in fact, a LARPer. He is a heavy metal wannabe musician dragged to the LARP site by his buddies to help him get over the woman who just dumped him. I thought it was an unnecessary jab at nerd-dom to say that none of them could step up to the plate to save the day. Plus, the nerds were all probably older than most LARPers. Maybe. I don't know.

A title that sounds like it belongs on the 'make up a title' thread...and it's real.
With imagination, there is hope.
