This show pretty much hijacked my entire viewing agenda. I went through all seven seasons in next to no time flat. Just finished the last episode, and now I'm wondering what I should do next.

Foyle's War is another cozy BBC whodunnit drama with one huge selling point, it takes place in Britain during WWII. DCS Foyle must investigate murders during the tumultuous backdrop of the larger war. Each episode is scrupulously researched, and many larger issues regarding the war are explored in great detail. I'm astonished at how good this show is.

I'm nuts about this series. It is so good. I've been trying to sell everybody I know on it, but I don't think they've been listening. If you want to watch some great television, watch Foyle's War. If you don't care, watch it anyway. It's great.

Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

I saw 2 or 3 of the episodes, which I quite enjoyed. I can't think of any TV mysteries that covered that same time period in the U.K., but in the manner of . . .

Many of the episodes were written by Anthony Horowitz, who also wrote many of the episodes for "Agatha Christie's Poirot" and "Midsomer Murders."

Anthony Horowitz is also responsible for writing the Alex Rider teen series of books. The first one in that series, "Operation Stormbreaker" being made into a theatrical film for the big screen.
