I'd call this a good little gem for bad movie lovers.
When his fiance leaves him because he can't give her a child, a geneticist splices human DNA with that of a genetically engineered komodo dragon. The resulting offspring is a human/reptile hybrid that the doctor names Carlo. His "son" quickly grows, learns martial arts from watching MMA on tv. Some evil government-types show up because they want the offspring to be used as a weapon and...you know...you've probably guessed most of the movie just from that short description.
There's plenty of bad below z-grade level acting. Many of the special effects could have been done with Adobe Premier Elements or some other cheap editing software.
But all that made this an enjoyable movie to watch.
Particularly fun are the moments where Carlo uses him marital art skills. For a few moments its like watching a horror/comedy movie that stars Reptile form Mortal Kombat.
You can probably find it cheap on DVD. Especially if you like movies that make the Asylum movies look as well put together as the blockbusters they rip off. (One of the actresses in the movie was in Mega Shark vs Crocosaurus)
