The world becomes a dream....

I guess I don't reject unfaithful retellings of the source material as much I did in my purist youth, because even if they deviate greatly from the Chesterton canon, I do love this most recent '10s crop of Father Brown series.

How shall I greet thee? With silence, and tears."

I actually caught 1 episode of this latest version of the series of short stories by G. K. Chesterton, which has 70 episodes to date and is in its 6th season. I enjoyed the 1 episode which I saw, and I had no trouble with the time period in which it was set--the 1950's. Though, that has led to some complaints that it is set in the wrong time period and should be set in an earlier time, like the short stories.
