You may want to contact the company who made the DVD because they may replace the DVD. This is what happen to us with the TRON DVD. It may not be DVD player it could the DVD itself.
My husband ( John Morgan) bought TRON on DVD, but it would not play on the playstation 2. We bought a copy and about half way through the screen turns green with a bunch of squares dots. We exchanged the DVD for another copy of Tron but the same thing happened. We knew it was not our DVD player.
I had registered the TRON DVD on line at
http://disney.go.com/disneyvideos/. You must register your TRON DVD with Disney in order to get any help.
I went to the technical support online and explained what was happening with the TRON DVD. A few weeks later to our surprise we got a replacement TRON DVD in the mail and this DVD work in the playstation 2. We were surprised that Disney sent a replacement DVD, but you have to send the old DVD back to them.
