Ladies and Gentlemen, I'll give you the Uni-Cub

Quote
The people mover has gotten an upgrade: On Tuesday, Honda announced its new Uni-Cub, a personal mobility device that lets you glide around the office or the aquarium perched comfortably on what looks like a trash compactor on wheels.

Like the Segway, the Uni-Cub allows the rider to control it simply by shifting her weight forward, backward or side to side.

Unlike the Segway, it is small enough to be used indoors.

What - no saddlebags?  Where's the cup holder?

What is the weight capacity of this thing?  Just imagine the size of the riders after a few years of using this device.  (Flashing on Wall-E here).

Mind you, I imagine the humour potential is pretty great if someone with lousy balance climbs aboard: careening off desks and walls... Buggedout

Lagomorphs: menace or underutilized resource?

I have a friend who could ride one of these while playing the sousaphone. He already rides a unicycle while playing, so this would be a piece of cake.

Our American version of that is a bit more...substantial.

Why would office workers really want to advertise the fact that they are too lazy to walk?

Wall-E.....that's the first image that passed through my head. And Chainsaw midget is right....why would they want to show how lazy they are?

Now that's impressive! I've played a sousaphone and I'd have never made it on a unicycle. Wink
