I saw this film years ago and i can bearly remember anything about it so....
Its a zombie movie that takes place on a small island, The zombies had a really heavy white make-up to their faces. from what i remember it had a kind of Fulci feel to the effects but it has been a while so i could be wrong!
thats about all i can remember...  any ideas?
cheers

Maybe Dr. Butcher, MD/Zombi Holocaust (1979).

No problem.
Also maybe Burial Ground (1981).  Though I don't think it was on an island per se..

If it's not actually Fulci's own Zombie (1979), my best guess would be Hell of the Living Dead (a.k.a. Night of the Zombies, and not the nazi zombie flick by the same name).

Other zombies on islands movies include Fulci's Zombi 3, and Zombie 4: After Death, though these were later 80s.

I'm taking by a Fulci feel that it probably is an Italian zombie movie, which all of the above are.
