Oh hell, musta been about 2000.  I read all the reviews, squatted on the board, then joined in some time later.

...Truth be told, my memory is also not what it was and I have a job nowadays to recall as many details about what I've watched in the past unless it's fresh or maybe I've just gotten more stupid, I don't know.
I can assure you have not gotten anymore stupid.   Thumbup Smile

That's right, Jase...you're just as stupid now as you were then. TongueOut

on top of that, the site was given over to a schmuck who seemed to delight in alienating everyone who didn't genuflect whenever his shadow fell over cyberspace.

Ahh, yes: those were the good old days for me on the Internet......  Twirling Wink TeddyR

I was searching for info on the film Billy Jack in 2007 and Tom Laughlin led me here: I came here, I saw, I liked, I stayed and found a family.  Smile

To all new people on this board, we heartily apologize for Trevor.

Don't get me wrong, he's a great guy. He is one of the sole repositories of knowledge for South African film. In fact, he is the world's greatest expert on the subject. That's not exaggeration, he is the world's greatest expert.

But he's got a serious problem, a serious underwear problem. It's no accident that I live on the furthest geographical point on the globe away from Trevor.

That being said, ignoring his underwear problems, he has an absolutely beautiful set of chompers. Love that guy, but he is what people call "patient zero."

Ah Menard, resident wise-ass. I wouldn't expect any less really. I should also add this is a pretty cool place that at least somewhat accepts all us assorted oddballs and despite some of us having widely different viewpoints on issues, usually cooler heads prevail and things don't usually get too out of hand.

Not quite sure how I found this place. Either saw a link on another site, or was Googling a movie I'd seen on MonsterVision and it led me here.

When? You tell me, but it was certainly before 2000.

Why? That's easy. When I first came to this website before 2000, I saw that Andrew was someone who didn't take s**t off of anyone. And when I saw that, I knew I was where I wanted to be.
