82. JAWS - John Williams This is the music as it appeared rearranged and conducted by Williams for the original album release and NOT the music as it appears in the film. But this is the version I grew up with and in ways still prefer it to the 'real' score. Note in particular the opening title music is greatly enhanced and expanded here, and includes hints of the sea chanties Williams wrote for the film. In the film it's literally just a couple of measures of the 'Dah Dum' motif.

There's also a great sequence where Sly drives his VW Beetle down the interstate for about 20 minutes, staring dramatically through the windshield.."-Joe Bob on A MAN CALLED RAMBO

95. CITIZEN KANE - Bernard Herrmann The Rev and Allhallows have been posting lots of great Herrmann scores but I'll add his very first film score. Herrmann would mock surprise when anyone ever remarked the identity of 'Rosebud' was a great mystery. "It's right there in the score. I gave it away in the first few minutes." he'd say.
