As far as I'm concerned, Popeye's has the best chicken!

Fryer Tuck's is pretty good too.. their potato spikes are insanely good!

I really don't eat fast food, since there's more good stuff in NOLA (Fast food companies really has a hard time getting profit here TongueOut)

While Savannah has its share of the big chain fast food restaurants the best fast food come outta places like Randy's Barbecue:

Five bucks cash gets you either a big Styrofoam container of ribs or chicken legs, swimming in Randy's Secret BBQ Sauce (+ one piece of white bread to pop up the extra sauce). Eight dollars cash gets you a few more ribs or legs. For ten bucks you can get a mix, plus another slice of bread.

New Orleans, filled with Drunks, idiots, and drunk idiots TongueOut

They allow open containers here, too. Drunk, obnoxious tourists stumbling in front of your vehicle while waving plastic cups of beer around make tempting targets...

surprisingly, I really don't like Popeye's Chicken (though their biscuits are to die for TeddyR) I'm not a fried chicken type person.

Adams St, near my house (just not even a block away) has some of the best po boys in the city IMO, esp their shrimp/catfish combo with five( yes, I order with 5!) cheese (cheddar, provolone, American, Swiss, Mozz), grilled onions, pickles, mayo, some black pepper, ducksauce, beef gravy...

Believe it or not, the Apple Pecan Chicken Salad at Steak N Shake is actually really good.  Probably the only fast food salad I've ever thought was really good.  And it's only about 350 calories, if you're watching that stuff.

As far as delicious but less healthy goes...  I'm very partial to the regular and double hamburgers at burger king and the thickburgers at Hardee's.  Delicious.

And french fries.  I could eat french fries three meals a day for the rest of my life.  Best ones are probably Burger King's, or if you're looking a bit outside of fast food, Five Guys.

Arby's curly fries.

Their Chicken Bacon Swiss!

Burgerville's cherry (you have to ask them to throw it together; it's not on the menu) shake.  Lots of whipped cream on top and mixed in, yum! (this one's blackberry, but they're all good)

We don't get many US food franchises in Germany, except for the usual suspects like McDs, BK, KFC, Subway and Pizza Hut (super-expensive). However, US Military installations here also get Taco Bell, Popeye's, Domino's, Baskin-Robbins, Charley's Grilled Subs (delicious!) and a few others on base. I do prefer Popeye's over KFC because I looove Popeye's biscuits and fries. They are to die for.

As for local fast food/street food vendors (though not necessarily a franchise) I pick up a Doner kebab sandwich or Doner kebab platter from a Turkish hole-in-a-wall 'deli' once in a while (I prefer Doner over Gyros).

I've been staying away from fast food for the last few days.  I've gained a little daddy weight since starting paternity leave, and I'm hoping it'll go away eventually.

I have no fancy pictures to post, but I love Qdoba's three-cheese nachos.  Apart from that, some of my favorite fast food joints are local to Spokane: Zips, Ron's, D-Lish, Dick's (baha!), Abelardo's, and a sandwich joint that's not quite fast food called Zelia's.  Zelia's is real mom 'n pop, run entirely by a real mom 'n pop duo.  Very sweet people, great food, and great service.

I'm not a huge fast food eater much anymore.  (used to eat a ton of it but got more health conscious)
However, I will buy one of these at least once a week:

BK Triple Stacker with no Stacker Sauce + add mustard and light ketchup.

Love these things!  Plus the Burger King near my place always makes them awesome.   No flat squashed sandwiches.  They always turn out hot & juicy and look like they do in the pictures.
Now I'm hungry!   Smile

Speaking of BK, their Chef's Choice is pretty tasty!

I used to get their Original Chicken Sandwiches all the time, until the price went bats**t on them..
