Hi again:

My description of this film is limited; it's based on only one scene which is currently used in Demdike Stare's live visuals montage that I recently saw at ATP London and again at Primavera in Barcelona. The film is either 70s/early 80s and is probably Italian production based on Demdike Statre's interest in giallo and the like, but I am not certain. The scene is scarmbled, slowed down, and reversed in the montage as well, but here goes nothing:
On a desert, a white-bearded man that slightly resembles Jason Robards or Alec Guinness approaches the foreground in a cloak, it is very windy. He turns about and faces the horizon. a large cloud moves onto the screen from left to right as another hooded, cloaked figure emerges on the horizon and approaches him. The figure seems to be very far away but is suddenly only a few meters away from the sorcerer. Whether or not this is a result of the montage editing, I am not certain. We cannot see the hooded figure's face. Suddenly, a cloud of snow or what appears to be snow (perhaps also dandelion fluff or something of that nature) begins to blow around both of the figures. There is a long shot of them facing one another, as though preparing for a duel. The wind slowly blows the hooded figure's cloak off and it is revealed to be a young girl in a smocked dress. She stands and stares at the sorcerer as the snow/dandelion fluff accrues on her face. Her eyes are open and very piercing in a very disturbing way. She stands stock still, the wind blowing her hair and dress. The scene is very strange, it appears to be both night and day, hot and cold. At this point in the montage, the actions are reversed so it is difficult to tell in what order everything occurs. The second time I saw Demdike Stare in Barcelona the scene played out in reverse.

That's from Guilio Paradisi's wacked out 1979 film STRIDULUM (aka THE VISITOR).
