PLANET OF THE VAMPIRE WOMEN (2011), THE DEAD WANT WOMEN (2012), and a Japanese film called MUTANT GIRLS SQUAD (2010).
The first was kinda Ed Wood meets Flash Gordon - low budget, cheap CGI (I mean, 2002 video game quality CGI!), with lots of blood, silly dialogue, and a good bit of random gratuitous nudity. The vampire holocaust fight scene at the night club was quite hilarious.
THE DEAD WANT WOMEN is a Full Moon Pictures release - I didn't know they were still in business! About what you come to expect from Charles Band.
MUTANT GIRLS SQUAD is not as strange as HELLDRIVER, but it comes pretty close. There are definitely some "What the heck am I watching?" moments in this one. Sort of THE X MEN meets POWER RANGERS on LSD. I mean, mutant powers I can understand, BUT A CHAINSAW COMING OUT OF SOMEONE'S BUTT??? Really?
Any one of these three would be an excellent slice of B movie cheese to go on this weekend's cinematic sandwich!!!
