On a completely unrelated note, the Dutch have decided to recriminalize marijuana...

"The basic plot is that Donna Speir and Hope Marie Carlton, the two undercover DEA agent Playboy Playmates from the last movie, are still running around in jungle shorts, cowboy boots and spaghetti strap T-shirts, firing their machine guns at drug smugglers, Filipino communist guerrillas, and corrupt federal agents while their two friends, Lisa London and Miss May 1984 Patty Duffek, lounge around the pool a lot and talk on speaker phones that look like fax machines."-Joe Bob on SAVAGE BEACH

I've been watching and reading about this all day. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life. I mean, cat's in general put me in fits of hysterics even when they're not doing anything. But THIS! This is truly the work of twisted genius...

I love the comments on the page. All these accusations that it's sick because it's "not normal" (esp love the accusation that now kids will want to do this with a live many kids do you know who have any interest in the news, let alone contemporary art news?). I don't find this to be much stranger than when people get their beloved pets stuffed or buried in a pet cemetery. Everyone grieves differently and has a different idea of what makes for a good tribute. He evidently wanted to make something light-hearted he could share out of a personal tragedy.

Besides, I find Damien Hirst's animals much more disturbing. I can't say I'm a fan of the way formaldehyde kind of distorts the things it's supposed to be preserving...
