ACT OF VALOR (2012)

I just finished this movie, and it is an amazing piece of work.  Starring real, active duty Navy SEALS, with a plot based on actual SEAL mission, this film is a stirring tribute to the courage, skill, and honor of the most elite paramilitary force in the U.S. Military - and, many would say, in the world.  The weapons are real, the tactics are real, and the characters are believable.  I don't want to give away any spoilers, but this film is worth seeing.  It reminds me of an old quote: "Good men sleep in peace at night because rough men stand ready to wreak havoc on those who would harm them."

     I've not seen the film, but I read the novelization last week. We all owe these extrordinary people a debt we can never pay in full.

They should have made it with a female cast and called it MACHINE GUN SLUTS FROM HELL.

if that happened I imagine we'd complain less about the acting if the cast's other assets were stacked in their favour...

It will be released here next week: some idiot went and added a U to the title.  

Probably someone whole speaks the Queen's English (Brits, Aussies, Indians, Canucks, etc) who add an "U" to lots of words, e.g. favour, colour, labour, etc. that Americans leave out.

The thing to remember is that the actors aren't actors - they are actual SEALS.

Oh, that's pretty hard to forget.

Watched it this past weekend.  5 out of 5 stars for me.

I viewed it more in the mindset I'd watch a documentary.  The acting and script's plot elements were about the least concern I had.  This movie is about the bigger story, not the mechanics of telling that story.
