17. the original 1954 GODZILLA!

The first Godzilla film,in all it's black and white glory-seemed to be a much more serious and darker-apocalyptic-coming on the heels of Hiroshima and Nagasaki 9 years earlier, than the later films. He even looked scarier!

19)  Curse of the Devil (1973).  Probably my favorite Paul Naschy film, out of the few I've seen.  Slow moving and cheesy, but scrumptiously Gothic.

NOT QUITE SAFE FOR WORK

I saw OTIK several years ago at a film festival in Nashville, TN. I had absolutely no idea what to expect and had never even heard of Svankmajer. Wow!

22. El Esqueleto de la Senora Morales....or in English...

A Taxidermist decides to murder his wife after enduring a hellish 20 years of marriage. Excellent little film. Wink

23. NIGHT OF THE DEMON aka CURSE OF THE DEMON (England-1957)

Jacques Tourneur's top notch horror film feels like a Val Lewton film directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

Tourneur was angry the studio imposed the mechanical demon on him but it went on to become one of the most iconic monsters of the '50s.

24. The Ebola Syndrome (1996)
Disgusting and shocking.. in other words, a great flick!  Anthony Wong (The Untold Story) is awesome as an inept sleazeball who contracts the ebola virus from an African girl he rapes, and doesn't die from it but is a carrier.  He then does his darndest to infect everyone possible, through sex, grinding up infected people and selling them as burger meat, getting his blood/spit on them, jacking off in the meat he serves at a restaurant, etc.
