a number of restaurants in Boston. That's the worst, when you go one day and it's not there.

I miss Midnight Dragon Beer.

Midnight Dragon was a short lived but oh-so-tasty cheap swill brew that my friends and I discovered when we were in college. It came in three varieties - beer (blue label), ale (green label) or malt liquor (tan label). This stuff was a Godsend to us broke college kids cuz a 40 oz. bottle was only a buck and a quarter.

The only problem was the only store near campus that sold it was close to "the projects," so we always made sure to go down there to stock up before it got dark.

Many was the time my friends and I would pool together our loose change and singles in hopes of reaching the "magic number" of $15.00, cuz that would buy us a whole case (!) of a dozen 40s, which would last us most of a weekend.

I haven't seen it since the mid 90s so I assume that it's no longer produced. The company that made it now makes Arizona Iced Tea if I'm not mistaken.

Pittsburgh had their sister station.

Rush Limbaugh used to be a DJ there.

Yep, that's him.

I am in agreement with several of these folks.
I miss those "late-night" movies (usually horror movies) or when movies on TV anytime were an event... like the CBS Late Late Show or CBS Wednesday Night Movie or the ABC 4:30 Movie or ABC Movie of the Week or Chiller...

Remember Sizzlers steakhouse?
We have a couple of those in Oregon; one in SE Portland and one further east in Gresham.  I'm overdue, I used to love that place.

Awesome. Yeah, I haven't seen a Sizzlers steakhouse in NJ for 15 years.

Sure do.  I think there was another one around the same time called Bonanza Steak House, too.

The old amusement park in New Orleans East- It was known as Jazzland before something happened (I don't remember, I was a young bastard then as I'm an older bastard now TongueOut) which was then turned into a Six Flags. Nickelodeon took over it and did nothing with it, the deal dropped out or they are just being lazy. either way, I shoulda gone on the giant coaster there, but didn't.

I like the Troma movies where you can tell the cast is overacting, acting goofy and generally having a good time together.  Thumbup

Something else I miss:
Good game shows!
