That Peter Higgs guy must be having a great day.  According to the article he first proposed the idea of the Higgs boson back in the '60s, and now at age 83, he's lived to see its existence confirmed.  The beer's on me Pete   Cheers

Saw an article this morning about it on Reddit. It's far from confirmed though. Looks like they still have a ton of work to do before they will know for sure. Honestly, I would be surprised if CERN has found it this quickly.

I agree-saying it's so and proving it to be are 2 very different things.
Like "God"-the God Particle has to show me results-I aint gonna just take the word of some select group because they say it's so,Joe.
