98% of posts are nothing more than people talking from their ass. anybody whos read one of my posts knows this. people take posts too seriously. who cares? really, who gives a crap if that guy didnt like batman? thats one thing that has always bothered me: concerning oneself with the likes and dislikes of others. people are quick to attack now especially in threads. youtube is an example, just read any post, there almost all retarded and negative.  thats the reason badmovies is the only place i post now, everybody has strong opinions here but nobody attacks anyboby else. even in religous threads, there are people here from both ends of the spectrum. thats why i like you people. you are all nice and fragrant.

Agreed.I've been on a number of forums that were full of folks who took everything way too seriously. I used to be on one place that had a political board and many wouldn't come to it because they were "afraid of the way we argued". We were all good friends and had a great time talking about our disagreements but also lots of other topics. I like it here because we can agree to disagree and move on to the important a good bad movie. Wink

Yes,I'm long as I don't look too closely.

Quite true. People no longer have to think about what they put out there for others to read. A mere 20 years ago, if you read something you didn't like, you'd have to feel strongly enough about it to write a letter and mail it, then wait for it to be published. Gave people a chance to cool off, pick their battles, and maybe put a little more thought into what they say if they do care enough to write.

Now, you see something and you can throw your first gut reaction out there immediately. Plus, since it's mostly read by strangers, and you can conceal your identity anyway, there just isn't the sense of responsibility for your words. Printed letters to the editor require a return address and usually a phone number, and an editor will call to confirm that you sent it and wish it to be published, and they will take a serious look at anything that might be incorrect or potentially libelous. On the internet, you just anonymously spout whatever springs to mind and move on to the next page.
